inBed is a visual design series exploring the intersection of space, the body, and perception.

Overview

Inspired by the spatial relationship between rooms and beds, the project uses topographic lines and architectural forms to create a design language that exists between 2D and 3D. The work includes posters, a conceptual Zine, and a 3D world—together forming a visual narrative of the bed as an island of solitude and imagination.

Concept

The concept draws from Georges Perec’s metaphor of the bed as an island and Kurt Vonnegut’s notion of collapsing time. Here, the bed becomes both a physical space and a mental refuge—an island floating outside linear reality. Using topographic lines to represent the contours of thought and room structures to mark spatial boundaries, the project visualizes a personal terrain of perception and stillness. The Zine extends this thinking with sketches, notes, and world-building, offering a deeper glimpse into a universe built on rest, reflection, and retreat.
